Naturbadestelle am Rurseezentrum
Simmerath
The popular natural outdoor pool in the “Rurseeznetrum” in Rurberg, whose clear water is appreciated by all visitors, is a great bathing place on the Eiserbachsee, which is next to the Rursee. Many guests feel at home in the spacious green area on hot days.
The laid out sandy beach with a shallow water zone for children and a playground leaves nothing to be desired for exuberant water fun for young and old. A beach volleyball field, a soccer field and a bistro are also available to guests in the immediate vicinity. Everyone will find a place on the spacious bathing area, whether in the sun or under one of the numerous beautiful trees.
The water quality of the Eiserbachsee is regularly checked. During the summer holidays in Northrhine Westphalia and on the weekends (May-August), the DLRG (German Lifeguard Association) is on site. Sanitary facilities are located on the premises or in the closeby National Park Gate, which is within walking distance. There is a barrier-free toilet there.
The natural swimming pool is freely accessible all year round, admission is free. Sufficient parking spaces are available (pay parking).
There are other bathing opportunities in the lake in the nature adventure pool in Einruhr, at Woffelsbach Bay and on the Eschauel peninsula.
Dogs are not allowed in the bathing area.
